Founded in Houston’s Historic Third Ward, Gulf Coast Cosmos Comics-GCC COMICS HTX was built with one mission in mind: to expand the narrative of comic books and comic book fandom. More than a comic bookstore, GCC COMICS HTX is a cultural hub where comics, manga, graphic novels, gaming, art, education, and community intersect. We proudly center stories, creators, and readers who have too often been overlooked in traditional nerd spaces while welcoming anyone with a love for imagination, creativity, and discovery. Our shelves are curated with intention — from mainstream superhero titles and manga favorites to independent comics, Afrofuturist works, graphic literature, and educational storytelling that reflects the richness of cultures around the world.
